The Hydro Assist Fuel Cell is a fully assembled water for gas, Hydrogen on demand system. The extras that they provide are:
But the most important device they provide you with is If you have done any reading on the other sections of this web site. you would know that the ECU or ECM computer on your car does not readily allow for the gas savings that you can get from a Hydrogen on demand system.
The HAFC comes delivered to your door fully assembled. The unit itself is a fairly simple to install. But it is recommended that a trained mechanic install the o2 optimizer. The o2 optimizer also in many instances needs to be tuned by one of their trained mechanics. They will tell you where to find one in your area. (I also recommend that you use a mechanic to install the fuel heater. If you don`t know exactly what you are doing, messing with fuel lines could be potentially very dangerous.) So what do I think about the HAFC?Disclaimer: The distributors of the HAFC are obligated to follow the marketing guide lines passed down from the manufacturer Dutchman Enterprises. It is these marketing strategies that forced me to discontinue my affiliation. They insist on advertising and requiring a quote for a product called the Pre Ignition Catalytic Converter (PICC) as part of a two stage gas saver system. I can not promote the PICC. (See article) picc . I have no problems with the distributors and I do believe that this product (HAFC) has good potential as a gas saver. Therefore I feel free to discuss the HAFC. I`ve never used the HAFC myself. I`ve only spoke to people who have. There is a chart at their web site that shows what gas savings have been achieved by them with their tests. Many vehicles apparently have doubled the MPG. Even 1 or 2 have tripled the gas mileage. RED Flag (These figures come from the manufacturer.) In it`s favor; I have tested another, home made, do it yourself Hydrogen on demand system. I like to call them water for gas systems. I have achieved a 62% improvement in gas mileage using my Water4gas system. Even the nay-sayers agree and do not dispute the adding of hydrogen to gas as a fuel saver. The problem that needs to be overcome with these water gas systems is with your ECU....This whole system is dependent upon the o2 Optimizer being a good functional device... Similar devices do exist, so this very well could be a good product. The HAFC o2 Optimizer claims to overcome the negatives of the ECU with this system. If that Optimizer works then that`s another strong point in it`s favor. I have heard from reliable sources that the o2 optimizer on some occasions has needed to be tuned a second time. But not more than that. This must be done by one of their trained mechanics. I also have learned again from reliable sources that the return rate on the HAFC is only around 1%. That`s a pretty good sign. Although, I don`t give much credence to their 50% gas mileage increase guarantee. You can return any product normally within 30 days for almost any reason. Adding the words "guaranteed" 50% gas mileage increase is fluff. It`s a gimmick. I call this percentage marketing. Many people will just keep the product if it`s giving fair results. Also concerning gas saver products: 30 days after receiving the HAFC is not a lot of time to contact one of there Mechanics, schedule an appointment, get it installed, and then to give it a proper testing to see if your actually getting your 50% gain. Then if you`re not satisfied you must uninstall it, clean it up as they require, pack it and ship it back. You just paid a Mechanic twice and also paid for the return shipping. As I said, It`s percentage marketing. Most people will just keep it, rather than find the time to do all of that; Since they probably will be getting substantial gas mileage increases. 50% guaranteed?? It`s a gimmick.I don`t consider this a customer friendly Return Policy. I cannot give a full recommendation of the HAFC just simply because I have not used it myself. It`s up to you. There is some negatives though, from my point of view, with this system. You have to install the whole HAFC system in order to validate the performance warranty. And I`m not big on recommending fuel heaters. ...You should never use a fuel heater without the Hydrogen Generator fully functioning... The Hydrogen Generator actually substantially cools the engine. Without it, using a fuel heater will cause your engine to over heat. ...That`s a very important point to keep in mind when applying this system... Another negative is that, although I do give some credence to magnets on fuel lines, (See article on magnets)They are to be within 6 inches of your fuel injectors or carburetor to give any benefit. Having a 2 in 1 magnet and fuel heater is not a practical application. If you strap that thing to your upper radiator hose it will be impossible for you to get the magnet within 6 inches of your fuel injectors. Any benefit that the magnet might be able to add will be ineffective. (Note that most gas saver product guru`s say that magnets are useless anyhow, I although have mixed feelings with magnets because I have ran positive MPG tests myself, I also have had insignificant results on other tests. see article) If you have a mechanic install it for you, the total cost of this system to you would be in the neighborhood of $1500.. give or take some. I`m not qualified to give a reliable quote. Of course you could save quite a bit if you were to install much of it yourself. But chances are real good with this system, that you will need a mechanic to help you complete the installation. I really only scratched the surface on the benefits that you could get from such a system. There is much more information that can be obtained about the Hydro Assist Fuel Cell at one of the distributors web sites. Just google "HAFC" to find one. Unlike Water4gas, this system is not yet intended for diesel engines.
