What is a Super Gas Saver? This is the first part of a series of articles that I am going to post on the topic of gas saving devices. I will start out with the best gas saver that I have found and the only system that I will highly recommend. That is ...adding Hydrogen to your fuel mixture... Using a water for gas or Water4gas hydrogen on demand system is the most simple application of doing this. So I will discuss the pros and cons of this method. Other gas savers that I will cover in later pages are:
- fuel additives (in general, octane boosters and others)
- gas heaters
- Magnets
- Pre Ignition Catalytic Converter (also termed as "picc")
- Cyclone or Tornado fuel saver
- How to save on Diesel fuel will be interjected in the appropriate pages.
For the purpose of cutting to the quick I will only briefly explain, that I have tried and tested most of these gas saving devices, but not all of them. I have worked with qualified Mechanics in the field of gas saving devices including for diesel. My own experiences and the input of many other experts of the field qualifies the information that I will disclose in these articles.
Adding Hydrogen to your fuel mixture.
My No.1 finding and my No.1 rated gas saver application is ...adding Hydrogen to your fuel mixture... Why? That`s simple ...Because hydrogen burns fast... it burns faster than the gas that is in your vehicle.
Also ...Hydrogen, when mixed with a burnable substance (such as gasoline or diesel fuel) will cause that substance to burn as fast as hydrogen does. That is if the level of hydrogen reaches levels of 5% to 10% of the mix. This of course is dependent on the density of the burnable substance involved.
Most experts believe that if you can add 7% hydrogen to the air/fuel mixture of a gasoline or diesel powered engine, that is enough. That is all that is necessary.
The objective with this is to get your gas to burn faster. Not to utilize the direct energy of the hydrogen. Although that`s an added plus.
The need to do this is enormous. The gasoline in your engine only burns with about 25% efficiency. Much of the reason for this is that the gas does not burn fast enough ...in the time that it has to do it.
Now what is implied by the statement 25% efficiency is this:
75% of the energy of the gasoline that is used in your car is not utilized in the powering of the vehicle. That`s right! 75% of the gasoline that you get at the pumps results in wasted energy. What could improve this to some degree, is if you could get your gas to burn faster. This is why it is benefitial to add Hydrogen to your air/fuel mixture.
Applying hydrogen to the air/fuel mixture of a vehicle can substantially increase your gas mileage while also greatly reducing the hazardous emmissions coming out your tail pipe.
Hydrogen is a very clean burning gas. This quality is compounded in the fuel/air burn when hydrogen is added. Therefore the decrease in harmful emissions is quite substantial.
How can you add hydrogen to the gas mix?
My method of performing this was in using a water for gas, or otherwise stated, a Water4gas, Hydrogen on demand system. This involves transforming water into a gas, through a process called electrolysis. This is an extremely simple and easy process to perform right under the hood of your own car. It also is very inexpensive and simple to build and even install this Electrolyser.
H2O is water ---and the gas referred to as browns gas or (HHO) is the finished product. Electrolysis actually pulls the water molecules apart forming hydrogen and oxygen.
With this method you are actually adding both Hydrogen and Oxygen to your gasoline/air mixture in your engine. Oxygen actually adds to the equation rather than hurting it. As 4% of hydrogen mixed with oxygen will ignite explosively. A higher ratio of hydrogen will do the same thing, but all that is needed is the 4%.
HHO gas obviously has a much higher percentage of hydrogen in it than 4%. But we are not looking for an explosion here. We are looking for a fast burn. Luckily the fuel mixture retards the explosive effect, and leaves you with just a real fast burn. If applied correctly, adding Hydrogen to your gas intake will make your vehicle a super gas saver.
