WATER FOR GAS_Diesel

Using water for gas on diesel? Does it work as good as it does for gasoline? To get to the answer to this I will give reference to Ozzie Freedom, the founder of water4gas. Ozzie just recently purchased a brand new 2008 VW Jetta. Of course this vehicle is powered by a Turbo Diesel engine. First he installed a standard water4gas system on the vehicle. Then he took his new toy on a publicity tour around the country. He was ruffly getting about 70mpg hwy on that trip... Now, the Jetta has a 48mpg Hwy EPA rating. Knowing that an EPA rating is not generally a perfect indicator of actual mileage, ( its normally a little low ) let`s just say that he is getting 50mpg on that car. With that figure it seems that he was achieving a 20mpg gain. That is a 40% increase. Now keep in mind that this is a ruff estimate. Normally, diesel engines do not get better than 20 to 25% increases on an average using water4gas. This being a brand new car, and giving the fact that Ozzie is not is not known to exaggerate too much, I am willing to suggest that he might very well be getting a 30+ percentage gain. Gasoline/Diesel comparison:It is known that a gasoline engine burns its gas with about 25% efficiency. Diesel engines on the other hand do a bit better than that. A diesel engine will burn its fuel with about 55% efficiency on an average. Consequentially, Gasoline powered vehicles have definitely shown more increase in gas mileage using water4gas than diesels have. There is much more room for improvement with gas engines. Diesel engines have a much better design for fuel efficiency. Ozzie`s choice of car could tell a story.I think that one can learn a lot from what Ozzie did. I mean that he has been messing around with these water4gas systems probably more than most people alive. He chose this particular car as the vehicle that he wanted to get for himself, as well as to use on this cross country publicized expedition. Even though diesel fuel is more expensive, he went with it. Now I am not going to suggest gas or fuel savings is the only reason that he went with a Jetta, or even a diesel for that matter. Both of these are very impressive on their own. But I do guarantee you that it was factored in. So Ozzie is not afraid to use water4gas on a his brand new vehicle. Apparently he is also not afraid of it affecting his warranty. Seems that he is willing to practice what he has been preaching. What stands out to me a lot with this choice of vehicle, is how much easier he suggests that the installation is. That is, in the comparison of using water4gas on a Turbo Diesel, as opposed to a gas powered vehicle.
*GASOLINE ENGINE Application*
*TURBO DIESEL ENGINE Application*

If you look at the 2 diagrams that were provided by him, they seem to suggest that he did not have to override the computer functions with the diesel. ( He is probably tired of messing with the ECU. ) That definitely would save a bit of time and effort. No EFIE unit installed and also no Map Sensor Enhancer. He also shows here that only one HHO hose was necessary. But an aquarium pump with a 12volt ac/dc adapter was needed to pump the HHO into the air intake. So on the Turbo Fuel injected Diesel the installation of water4gas Hydrogen on demand system is normally a much simpler application than with a gas powered engine. That is what Ozzie says anyhow.
My last comment for this article is that, water4gas definitely works well for an application on a diesel. I have not been directly involved with such an application as this, but the word from a fellow trucker who installed such a system on his own rig suggests that it gives him a bit more kick on the uphills while giving him a 20% to 25% increase in fuel mileage.
I have no reason to disbelieve what he says. But I do know that on a big rig truck that the installation of that hose on the intake boot had better be a very secured install. Also the aquarium pump better not go bad. That boot that is located just before the turbo has a lot of resisting pressure on it. If these guys say that it works, well all righty then. I would just be extra careful with this application. You would probably need to contact Ozzie`s people there at the Water4gas Tech support in order to get further instructions on how to do this right. I don`t remember references to this in the 2 books he sells.
Update: Ozzie has recently provided free information for water4gas for diesel installation at this link Water4gas-4-Diesel. There is a very good testimonial video at this link, and also a window to purchasing water4gas 10 dvd set. THANKS Oz!
